About JDCBS

The mission of the JDM Cohort and Biomarker Study and Repository is to improve the care, treatment and lives of children and young people with myositis through clinical and translational research, understanding of the disease, collaborative working, and training

JDCBS’s vision is to do this by:

• Collecting disease and clinical data linked to biological samples from children and young people with myositis
• Working in partnership with patients and families
• Being collaborative and multidisciplinary
• Working with exceptional researchers and health care professionals from across the UK and beyond
• Ensuring JDCBS leadership includes clinical and research experts
• Making data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable to speed up the research impact globally
• Supporting and developing careers of future leaders in the field
