About JDCBS
JDCBS
The group of researchers involved in the Juvenile Dermatomyositis Cohort Biomarker Study and Repository (JDCBS) and the work within it, are called the JDCBS Members. The centres involved in the study are from all around the UK and all have specialist Paediatric Rheumatology teams working in the field.
The aim of this group (JDCBS) is to better understand this group of rare conditions called Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies (IIM), which includes JDM. The JDCBS aims to collect information and samples on a large number of children and young people, to learn more about the condition, for example how to treat them better, to understand who will respond best to which type of treatment, and to eventually discover the causes of the disease.
